I know, I know. You probably didn’t open your phone or computer and think, “I just can’t wait to see a new ad from Abdul!” But I’m hoping you’ll give me a chance to explain why ads like these are so important to our campaign. I’m the only candidate in this race who’s never taken a dime from AIPAC or corporate PACs, and never will. And that comes with both pros and cons. The biggest advantage is that I get to act independently and center this campaign around the policies that working people actually want, like Medicare for All, abolishing ICE, and using our taxpayer dollars to improve life here rather than fund endless wars. But the biggest con is that I have to be constantly fundraising. Which is why you’re seeing this ad right now. Trust me, I don’t like having to repeatedly ask for money, but it’s the only way a campaign like ours can compete. So if you can, will you pitch in $5, $10 — whatever you can — to help us keep up our strong momentum? (and maybe help spare you from more of these ads!)
