I’m Adam Hamilton: fifth-generation Kansan, pastor of 38 years and the Democrat running for U.S. Senate in Kansas.
Yes, I’m well aware that I’m the underdog and we have a difficult road ahead. But I love Kansas and our country. I am deeply concerned about how polarized our politics have become, and I cannot stay on the sidelines while it only gets worse. I hope you won’t either.
For over three decades, I’ve led a diverse congregation of Democrats, Republicans and Independents – people from all walks of life united by their faith and their common desire to serve their neighbors and address the problems of our world. Together, we’ve increased access to food, health care, housing and education for people here in Kansas.
I am ready to restore trust in our democracy and create meaningful solutions to the problems we’re facing, but I can’t do it alone. I know from experience that we are so much more effective when we work together, and that is how we need to build this campaign. So please, will you join us with a grassroots donation today?
Thank you,
Adam
It’s Adam Hamilton. I’m a lifelong pastor here in Kansas, and I am also, according to new polling, leading incumbent Senator Roger Marshall in the race for Kansas’ U.S. Senate seat.
That’s why I just officially announced my Democratic campaign for U.S. Senate in Kansas. I hope you’ll give me a chance to explain why I’m asking for your support today.
I’ve spent my life serving the people of Kansas. I’m a fifth generation Kansan, and I’m the founding pastor of the largest United Methodist Church in the United States.
That church started out in a funeral home chapel because I wanted to go where people were hurting, not where it was comfortable. Even 37 years later, I’m proud to say that mission hasn't changed.
Today, I see Kansas families hurting under the weight of rising costs and a divided D.C. that’s stopped listening. I'm not a politician, but I am a servant – and right now, the best way that I feel I can serve my community is by running for the U.S. Senate.
The biggest hurdle in front of us as we get this campaign started is making sure we have the resources we need to compete. With a poll already showing us strong, I’m going to rely on grassroots supporters like yourself to help us keep it.
So please, if you’re ready to change the status quo in Kansas and send an independent-minded Democrat to the Senate, I hope you’ll chip in any amount right now to support my campaign.
Thanks for reading.
Adam
