Representative Kevin Hern US Inactive

House of Representatives for the 1st District of Oklahoma

Today, I wrote a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urging her to keep Congress in session through next week until we have a bill that can be passed by the Senate and signed by President Donald J. Trump into law. When the President declares a state of emergency, we do not abandon our posts and return home. The Senate has already called off their state work period next week and we should do the same. We owe it to our constituents to do the same and draft legislation that can pass the House, the Senate, and be signed into law by President Trump.
