I’m asking for a $5 donation to my campaign right now because it is not the time to play it safe. We cannot afford an uninspiring campaign right out of the DC playbook. We also cannot settle for somebody who tells you there’s just one trick to fix democracy. There isn’t. There are no shortcuts. The only shortcut is us. It’s all of us getting together. This is a Democratic primary. On the other side of the aisle, they don’t believe that Republicans should vote for their nominee. They believe Donald Trump gets to pick it. On our side, we believe in democracy. We believe in organizing. We believe in asking for your vote. I am the only candidate in this race who beat a Republican incumbent to get into office. I am the only candidate in this race who organized and raised millions of dollars not for myself but for a dozen other state senate candidates and helped flip control of a chamber for the first time since 1984. We don’t have to settle. But, we have a blueprint. We must refuse to accept that we are powerless. We have to organize, build power, and fight. We can win this race. And we will win. IF we work together.
