House of Representatives for the 1st District of Oklahoma
π¨ BILL DROP ALERT π¨ Today, I reintroduced the WIRED Act alongside Senator JD Vance! This bill will help us in our quest to destroy dangerous cartels' operational control of the southern border by reducing their financial power. Based on a similar policy enacted by the state of Oklahoma, the WIRED Act imposes a 10% fee on remittances out of the United States, with the intention of penalizing illicit activity, such as drug and human smuggling. U.S. citizens who wire money out of the country can receive a refundable tax credit later. The funds raised through remittance fees will go towards U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement to better protect and secure our border.
