As well as that many smaller non profits, especially lead by people of color have not applied. Tell people in your networks that this money is available to be applied for up to $100,000. Details below.
The Nonprofit Needs to be:
A qualified nonprofit organization is:
a registered 501(c)(3), has a physical presence in Kentucky, serves Kentucky citizens, has been in active operation since 2020 and remains active, can provide a 990 or Profit and Loss statement for 2020 & 2021 (largest net revenue minus smaller net revenue of the two years determines amount you are eligible for up to $100,000), and serves one of the following populations (unless you are an arts organization):
*people living at or below the federal poverty level
*people experiencing homelessness
*communities of color
*minimum or law-wage employees displaced by business closures
*older adults living at or below the federal poverty level
*people who are immunocompromised or fragile
*immigrant and refugee communities
*people with limited English proficiency
*people with disabilities
*people without health insurance
*victims of domestic violence or child abuse
*children in need of services
*workers without access to paid sick leave.
