My name is Juliana Stratton, and I am the Lieutenant Governor of Illinois. Today, I am asking if you will join me and our movement to defend working families in Illinois as Donald Trump and his allies enrich themselves and abandon the middle class.
Together, we’ve gotten big things done for Illinois. We’ve raised our state’s minimum wage to $15, balanced the state budget, protected reproductive freedom, made our communities safer from gun violence, invested in green energy, supported small businesses, and made life better for working families.
But with Trump’s return to the White House, our fight just got a lot more important. The damage he has already done and his thirst for even more power puts all of Illinois’ progress on the line.
We’re not just going to sit here and take it — we’re bringing the fight to him. It won’t be easy, and I can’t do this alone. I need you with me. There’s still so much work for us to do, and I know that with your support, we can keep moving forward.
