Yesterday, I saw firsthand the disaster at our border. Thousands of children are sent over the border by smugglers and traffickers – left on the American side of the border with nothing. The CBP facilities are far over capacity, squishing a hundred kids into holding cells meant for a dozen. This isn’t compassion; it’s chaos. This is a true humanitarian crisis. These children were sent to America because their parents were convinced that Joe Biden would let them in. The adults who make the journey say the same thing. We cannot allow this to continue – President Biden needs to make it unequivocally clear that our borders are NOT open, that people should NOT risk their lives to make the journey, and they absolutely should NOT send their kids alone. More than anything, our border patrol needs support. They’ve been vilified by Biden and Harris as well as Congressional Democrats. Biden has cut funding and resources to CBP; meanwhile, the situation is worse than it’s been in 20 years. They need help and they need it now.
