Years ago, my ancestors couldn’t even own land in Louisiana, let alone run for the United States Senate. Today, I am proud to be a landowner, farming the exact same soil my grandfather once worked as a sharecropper. To be able to run to represent Louisiana is the honor of a lifetime. But right now, working families are struggling just to provide for their kids. We all want an America we can afford. We all want clean air and fresh drinking water. The political insiders want to keep us fighting and divided, but the truth is, we have far more in common than they want us to believe. Election Day is exactly 5 days away.
