Trying Something a Bit Different

This Is Not a Typo

I am counting on grassroots donors like you to chip in now if we're going to defeat Susan Collins and flip Maine blue.

Hey everyone. Graham Platner here, the oyster farmer and Marine Corps veteran running against Susan Collins for U.S. Senate up in Maine. We're going to try something new today: We're a little bit short of our fundraising goal to beat Susan Collins, and so I'm just going to ask you for $1. Yep, just $1. I know a single dollar is not a lot, but if you add it together with the thousands and thousands of others who pitch in, it's what's going to get us across the finish line. There was another poll recently that shows me leading Susan Collins in the general election, and that means that the Republican money is about to really turn on. Their Super PACs and the corporate PACs are going to try to bury us under money and under TV ads. The only way we can fight back is by raising money from small-dollar donors like yourself. So please, will you chip in $1 monthly right now to our campaign – more if you can afford to! – and help me defeat Susan Collins, flip Maine blue, and take back the Senate for Democrats?
I’m asking you to give $1 before midnight tonight to help me defeat Susan Collins. And no, that’s not a mistake. I’m really asking for just $1. Our campaign needs to raise $100,000 before midnight tonight, but we’re still really short of what we need to take on the corporations & the billionaires and defeat Susan Collins. A single dollar probably feels like too little to make a difference – but it’s not. When your $1 is combined with thousands of other folks chipping in their $1, the impact is enormous. Your $1 is how we hire more staff and open more field offices all across Maine. Your $1 is how we fill up the tank to drive around the state and hold town halls to meet with voters ready to send Susan Collins into retirement. Your $1 is how we run TV ads holding Susan Collins accountable, pay for yard signs, and everything else a campaign needs to win. And your $1 is how we’ll protect our democracy by flipping this seat blue and taking back the Senate for Democrats in 2026. If you and everyone else who sees this chips in just $1 now, we will crush our goal and defeat Susan Collins once and for all this November. But I’m counting on you to give now if we’re going to win and flip Maine blue: Please, will you give $1 monthly right now – more if you can! – to help me defeat Susan Collins, flip Maine blue, and take back the Senate for Democrats? I’m not taking money from AIPAC or corporations, so no amount is too small. We can defeat Susan Collins and protect our democracy from fascists trying to destroy it – but we can only do it if folks like you chip in what you can afford to today. Thank you for being a part of this grassroots campaign. In solidarity, Graham Platner
