I’m a democratic leaning centrist. 4th generation Idahoan. I believe in bridging the divides and building our communities back up. Especially in the areas where we rank 48th to the bottom. The things I support concern Idaho citizens, getting connected to these groups has been challenging as I’m traveling around the state introducing myself to communities and involvement with committees. We should see support and endorsements from the NRA soon, as I fully support our gun rights. With Roth garnering the lgbtq community due to his own quite vocal personal preferences, I’m in full support of loving whomever you want, the Supreme Court helped make rulings that protect those rights, what’s left, is leaving our preferences in the bedroom. I’m so tired of the divisions by party and some of these committees that have developed, have helped fuel the fire, I have yet to respond to their questionnaires. Workers rights are not the same thing as “Right to Work”, laws created in the 1980’s and they simply aren’t working for Idahoans. They’re taking the great talent that’s born & schooled at Universities here & relocating to other states that offer pensions and better long term outlooks with better pay. Regulations are strangling our agriculture, & ranchers . Private lands endangered by outside interests groups I don’t feel are worth my time to respond and align with my beliefs that public lands belong to those that choose to live, recreate and value their environment they've chose to live in, not special interest corporations looking to loot its valuable resources. My platform is inclusivity for everyone . So much of it comes full circle. I’m working through the surveys daily but looking out for what’s best for Idahoans. Education, Healthcare, Labor and Pensions are my primary targets while also protecting our lands from becoming subjugated to the highest bidder. As a type 1 diabetic, medical also ranks high on my list of concerns, current administration has made budget cuts that have affected nearly every aspect of our lives, and voting by “party” interests is how we ended up at the bottom 40 to begin with. As a millennial, I can bring to the table a fresh new perspective on how to address some of our biggest issues. For a very long time-to me, it seems our current representation has been focused on foreign relations and not the best interest of Idahoans. We’re long past due for our state to shine. The Masters degree I hold is geared towards adult learning and education, and my business degrees assist me in understanding the risks and opportunities our small businesses and institutions and state grapple with regards to our economic outlook. Marginalization of groups is where divisions begin, I feel we must all work together as a whole, toward a common purpose. That lifts all of voices, not just a selected group. That, perhaps is why I chose my platform to appear uniform on the surface. I want to hear and include everyone. Since the republicans have chosen to have closed primaries this year, it's actually a perfect opportunity to gain republican support in the measures I hold dear. Democrat primaries are open, which means if a republican wants to choose, they still can, by asking for the democratic ballot during the primaries. I hope this helps clear up any confusion my initial platform fails at. If there's anything more I've missed, please ask! I'm happy to respond #nationalanthem #TeamUSA #nationalparks #TermLimits #termlimitsforuscongress #Idaho #PoliticsUpdate #politics #usa #USSenate
