READ THIS!!
I had the chance to attend the Charlotte March for Life on Friday, an issue very close to my heart. I was encouraged by the crowd that attended and marched for life. I had a great time meeting people from all walks of life and telling them about my campaign and asking for their vote.
I was asked afterwards what I thought about the March for Life. After thinking for a few moments, I responded that I enjoyed the event and the people I met. However, I was a little sadddened at the fact the crowd was too nice. Too polite. That the group followed every rule and caused no problems. It was an event that the participants noticed and nobody else did.
I feel that events like this are lost opportunities. Baby killers are not following the rules, are not being polite, nor are they being ignored. They are in your face. They are loud. They are invasive and their bad behavior drowns out our good behavior. I know people don't want to hear this, but we need to meet our enemies where they are. We need to be loud, and obnoxious, and in their faces sharing our message of life. I know this is hard. We as a group are good, hard working, loving, caring, polite, rule following people. I know that. I love that about us. However, we won't save lives if we aren't willing to stoop to the level of the baby killers.
I know not everyone will agree with me, but this is my $.02. As I say on the campaign trail, what you see is what you get. I'll tell you who I am, and what I think, and what I will do. Know this, I will always fight for life. I hope you will join me. www.votemargo.us
