Hector Mujica for Florida
AI is here... and Congress isn’t ready. Today, we’re kicking off our AI series — because this is serious business, and it’s being treated like a future problem when it’s already reshaping our lives right now. In the weeks ahead, we’ll break down what AI means for workers, how to regulate data centers, how to protect the most vulnerable — especially kids and seniors, and how to confront the monopoly & wealth concentration that this era could accelerate. I’m the only U.S. Senate candidate in Florida with a real plan, backed by experience, to meet this moment head-on. For today’s video, I hit the streets of Miami to hear what people of all ages actually think about AI — and to lay out the simple rules that will guide this series: Rule #1: Data centers must pay for the water & energy costs they drive up. Rule #2: We must prepare workers — fast. Rule #3: We must protect children & seniors from AI-enabled harms. Rule #4: We must take on monopoly power & wealth concentration. We can’t “pause” AI. But we can set rules so this growth serves people, not just corporations.
