As I stepped back today to look at this newly erected campaign sign, my first thought wasn’t about the sign itself, but about the deep roots it represents – roots grounded in the heart and soul of our vibrant Louisiana community, mirroring our shared determination and resilience.
Between the bustling days at Baton Rouge, where I've spent long hours working hard to pass bills for my constituents, and the cherished weekends with my precious family, there's been little time for much else. Yet, standing here now, drill in hand, I feel a sense of accomplishment that's beyond words.
When I look at this sign, I don’t see my name. I see the future of Louisiana, a future where our children can thrive, raise their own children, and take pride in our state. It serves as a reminder of the trust you’ve bestowed upon me to represent and fight for you, to strive for a better Louisiana that we can all be proud to call home. This sign, anchored firmly in our rich Louisiana soil, symbolizes my pledge to uphold that trust, standing resilient in the face of adversity.
So here's to us, the hardworking people of Louisiana, and to the journey ahead. From the silent bayous to the bustling cities, we're in this together, forging ahead, one day, one bill, and one sign at a time.
