1. Who am I? I was fortunate to have parents and mentors throughout my life. My mother always told me when speaking to a group: Be Bold Be Brief Be Seated I still follow her advice and will do so tonight. - I am a Christian - I am an American patriot, I define a patriot as anyone who 1. Loves their country 2. Is loyal to that country’s values. - I am a veteran- I served in the US Navy from 2001-2007, for 4.5 of those years I served aboard the USS Key West, a Los Angeles Class Fast attack nuclear submarine as a nuclear engineer in the Machinery Division. As most veterans will tell you, they are not for war, but will defend our country with their lives- which I pledged to do when I joined the Navy in August 2001 just before 9/11 and through our countries Global War on Terror. I am proud to say my family is filled with veterans who answered the call when war threatened our country: My great grandfather Herman Kulpaca, WW1 Army, my grandfather, Dr. Charles Kulpaca, WW2 Army sniper; my father Greg McNeal, Vietnam US Navy. All of whom are buried here in South Dakota at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis.

Standout elementCandidate speaking at a podium with Mount Rushmore looming directly behind, visually aligning him with founding-era greatness
TacticThe Mount Rushmore backdrop functions as powerful borrowed symbolism, elevating a grassroots intro speech into a patriotic origin story that builds candidate credibility through association with American founding ideals and his Navy veteran identity.
